Sydney Symphony Under the Stars
SYDNEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA AND PARRAMATTA PARK TRUST | AUSTRALIA

One of the best-loved Sydney Festival events returns to Parramatta. Join the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and conductor Benjamin Northey for a night of beautiful music under the southern sky. It’s the perfect evening for families and friends to pack a hamper, grab a blanket and enjoy the Sydney summer in style.

The free concert is always one of the Festival’s most anticipated events. Returning to the stunning surrounds of Parramatta Park, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and conductor/host Benjamin Northey perform a program of renowned compositions by Beethoven (as 2020 marks 250 years since his birth), Offenbach and more.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Sydney Symphony Under the Stars without music from John Williams – and for the grand finale, Tchaikovsky’s rousing 1812 Overture.

With regard to the current bushfire situation, this year the event will include a beautiful light show in lieu of fireworks. Sydney Festival will also be raising funds for the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery fund, with donation buckets available in and around The Crescent.

Please see the Important Info section below for all frequently asked questions, including what will happen in the event of incremental weather conditions.
